LAST YEAR’S SUCCESS STORY
The 7th ET Bengal Corporate Awards presented by the Association of Corporate Advisers & Executives (ACAE) was held on March 16th, 2018. The Guests of Honour of the event included Mr. Sutirtha Bhattacharya, Chairman of Coal India and Dr. Amit Mitra, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, Finance & Excise, Commercial and Industries, Govt. of West Bengal.
The awards night started with lamp lighting by the Guests of Honour and other stalwarts like by Mr. Saroj Kumar Poddar; Dr. Amit Mitra; deputy executive editor, ET Mr. Javed Sayed and TOI director-Response Mr. Rajnish Rikhy.
In his speech, Dr. Amit Mitra, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, Finance & Excise, Commercial and Industries, Govt. of West Bengal, attested how Bengal is riding on industrial growth and how much enthusiastic the corporates are to come to Bengal. He discussed at length the success of Kanyasree and other home bred projects, started by CM Mamata Banerjee. The awardees were selected through an intensive scrutiny by the knowledge partner – Deloitte and the jury comprising Deloitte India chairman P R Ramesh, Manipal Global Education chairman T V Mohandas Pai, professor of finance and control group, IIM Calcutta Ashok Banerjee and deputy executive editor, ET Javed Sayed.. The audience witnessed some legendary moments as some of Bengal’s best business houses won awards.
